The Secretary of State's Elections Division is offering HOW TO RUN FOR OFFICE SEMINARS for anyone considering becoming a candidate for public office. The virtual seminars will be held on Zoom beginning at 6:30 PM. Click the links below to attend:

IMPORTANT DATES
May 28, 29 and 30 last day for candidates to register to vote
June 27, 28 and 29 declaration of candidacy filing period (deadline 4 PM on Wednesday, June 29)
July 6 nomination papers issued
July 15 deadline to file nomination papers by 4 PM
August 14 deadline to register to vote in the September party primaries
August 15 deadline for voters to disaffiliate
August 23 deadline to submit mail ballot applications by 4 PM for September primary
August 24 emergency voting period begins
September 13 Primary Election. Polls open 7 AM to 8 PM.

Voter Information
Visit the RI Secretary of State's online Voter Information Center to view and update your voter record including changing your party affiliation, view a list of your current elected officials, and find your polling place.
PLEASE NOTE: As a result of the State-wide Redistricting, some voting districts and polling places have changed. Postcard notices will be sent to all voters notifying them of their updated voting district and polling place information once the Board of Elections and Secretary of State have completed this process.
Voting districts may be combined for the September Primary, so be sure to check your voting location for that election.
