Green Hill Park

The Town of South Kingstown purchased twenty acres of land adjacent to Green Hill Beach Road in 1998 for the development of a community park. After years of discussion with the neighborhood, the Recreation Commission downsized the park to a neighborhood park which was acceptable to a majority of the residents.

South Kingstown voters approved a $600,000 bond issue in November, 2000 to provide funding to construct the park. The park opened for public use in the spring, 2003 and contains a playground, picnic area, two tennis courts, basketball court, multi-purpose field, and nature trails.

Construction
