Staff assistance is provided by the Building Official
The Board of Appeals meets regularly throughout the year, to hear appeals of decisions made by the Building Official (usually 3-4 times/year).
Minimum Housing Board of Appeals - authorized to hear and decide appeals from compliance as noted in the Minimum Housing Code.
The Board shall have the power to reverse or affirm wholly or partly or to modify any order of the Chief Inspector and in specific cases to authorize such variance in the application of the terms of this Ordinance, where owing to unusual conditions a literal enforcement of the provisions of the Ordinance will result in unnecessary hardship, and so that the spirit of the Ordinance shall be observed and substantial justice done.
