Community Resource Division
The Community Resource Division is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and enacting initiatives and events to promote positive interactions between the police department and the community.
Detectives are responsible for following up on criminal cases, both misdemeanors and felonies, and are proactive in criminal investigations involving the use and distribution of illegal narcotics within the community.
Dispatchers answer routine calls for service, 911 phones, and emergency calls.
The Juvenile Bureau of the South Kingstown Police Department works in conjunction with the School Resource Officer and school administrators and faculty to create a safe and healthy environment for our youth.

The Prosecution Division within the South Kingstown Police Department is ultimately responsible for the determination of criminal complaints to be brought before the appropriate court, Department of Attorney General, or referral to another agency.
The Traffic Unit within the South Kingstown Police Department is responsible for managing traffic complaints throughout the town and with managing directed traffic enforcement to provide safe travel on our roadways.
